Bare Beauty HydraMatte LipSense First Look & Mixes
Well…. Bare Beauty HydraMatte LipSense is here and it kind of makes my lips disappear with my skin tone.😅 I mean it is totally screaming the concealer lips trend of the past. Did you participate in the concealer lips trend during the 2000s? Did you know this trend tried to resurrect itself recently!
For me it’s a trend I’d like to leave in the past LOL. So this blog post is going to show you different ways to wear our newest HydraMatte LipSense without wearing it on its own.
However, this shade has been stunning on those that have much lighter and deeper complexions than me, so as always, if you want to see it on other skin tones send me a message and I’m happy to send you examples!
Okay let’s start off with what just the lip color looks like on me so you can get an idea of what we are working with here.
As you can see, Bare Beauty HydraMatte LipSense definitely color matches my skin tone. So my lips kind of disappear which is generally the opposite of what you want to do with your lips. Here are two ways this shade is going to get a lot of use by me.
Highlight the Center of Your Lips
First way I’ll be using this color is to highlight the center of my lips! It’s my favorite way to use Bare Beauty HydraMatte LipSense. Did you know adding a lighter color to the center of your lips can give your overall look a pop and make your lips appear fuller?
It also helps to give your lips the illusion of more depth and dimension to your lip shape. The lighter shade in the center helps to draw attention to the lips and creates a subtle ombré effect that can be very flattering. Here are three examples of how I used this with Velvet, Bella, and Chocolate Bar HydraMatte, but you can honestly do this with any color as Bare Beauty is the lightest in our line up!
Bare Beauty Lined with Velvet HydraMatte LipSEnse
This one has the starkest difference. Since the current formulation of Velvet HydraMatte really pulls grey these two shades bounce off of each other nicely. If you want a bold lip look this one is it.
Bare Beauty Lined with Bella HydraMatte LipSense
If the above is too harsh of a difference, try using a lighter shade like Bella HydraMatte. This is still going to give your lips the pop you are looking for without being too much.
Bare Beauty Lined with Chocolate Bar HydraMatte LipSense
The last example of lined lips with Bare Beauty is with Chocolate Bar HydraMatte! This just SCREAMS fall and I’m obsessed.
Mixing Bare Beauty and Burgundy Plum HydraMatte
You didn’t think I could get a new color and NOT mix it with Burgundy Plum did you? This 2 parts Bare Beauty HydraMatte and 1 part Burgundy Plum is the perfect mix of the two to create a nice pinky-purple lip color. I mixed it on the back of my hand and used a lip applicator to apply like this one here.
Overall, no matter how you choose to wear Bare Beauty it has a place in your makeup bag! I also heard someone using it almost like a concealer on their face, but I haven’t tried that one yet.
