Don’t Know What I’d Do Without It
This week my hair tool of choice is the Beachwaver Curling Iron! Again, I know nothing about hair, how to do hair, or how to style hair. The only thing I know is what is easy for me so I figure for all the hair challenged I’m here to share with you what works for me.
The Beachwaver is literally the only curling wand I’m not burning myself, thinking which way to turn the wand, and wondering if my curls will stay. I believe I have the 1 inch wand and I’d love to also invest in the 1.25 inch for larger curls.
Perks of the Beachwaver
I love that there is a ‘Home Button’ on the wand so it returns the clip to the front so it makes it easy to get the wand positioned right off the bat. Plus, the left and right buttons make it a little more full-proof for which direction you are curling. Although, in the beginning I’ll be honest I had to still think about it! 🤣
How I Curl My Hair
First, which I didn’t show in the video, make sure you have your hair sprayed with your heat protectant spray! I don’t currently have a favorite, but this is what I’m using up before I try a new one, TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray. The other things I need are two hair clips so I can contort my hair around to make it easier on me! I purchased these Croc Hair Styling Clips off Amazon for cheap and I have lots of extras around.
I part my hair down the middle clip up the left side and then clip up all the excess hair I’m not currently working on curling. I start from the back and move toward my face. In the back of my head I like to have most of my curls curl away from my face, but I toss in some that go the opposite way to give some movement to my hair. Then I repeat on the left side and spray with SeneGence’s Holding Spray to get my curls to last all day.
This wasn’t the most exciting blog post, but this thing is the first time I’ve been able to easily curl my hair and I had to share it! If you end up trying the Beachwaver let me know!!
