Last weekend we had our first ever Eye Workshop to talk about all things eyes. We went over easy, medium, hard eye shadow looks, concealing, eye skincare, and so much more! It was a lot of fun, but I also got a chance to do this light halo eye shadow look and I’m in love!

Sometimes we see examples online of eye shadow looks, but they are pushing the boundaries of what we consider ‘every day wear’ or ‘in our comfort zone’ or even ‘what I’m capable of doing.’ That’s why this look was so much fun to do because it took something others viewed as complicated and made it into a look anyone could do!

Get the Look

How I applied

Start with Moca Java ShadowSense and apply directly to your crease, or slightly above if you have a hooded eye. Make sure to look straight ahead in the mirror to make sure you can see this shade because it is going to be a transition shade. Pat and blend Moca Java until you are happy with the depth of color. I used a looser fluffy brush to get the shading exactly how I liked it.

Next, take Garnet ShadowSense and blend, blend, blend by patting. I used a slightly denser brush to have more control over where the color is applied. You will focus the garnet in the outer and inner corners of your eyelid and directly into the crease leaving the center of your eyelid with no eyeshadow. You could pair the halo eye look with a cut crease as well if you wanted a more defined line in your crease.

Finally, I pat on the Rose Gold Glitter ShadowSense directly to the center of my eyelid. I let this sit to help the pigmentation stay a little more bold. Another way to achieve this is to apply Snow ShadowSense to the center of your eyelid and then add your Rose Gold Glitter ShadowSense ontop!

Remember, with Halo eyeshadow looks it just takes patience with blending! I went back into get the shading I wanted a couple times. 😜
