Easy Eye Makeup Look with ONE Eyeshadow

One is all you need

Applying your eye makeup doesn’t have to be difficult, but it also doesn’t have to be just striping your eye with one shadow and calling it a day. If you are just starting out applying eye makeup and not sure where to start this one shadow eye look is the perfect place to start your makeup routine.

Pick A Color

I love doing a one shadow eye look with a brown-toned color, but you can really do this with any shade! Some great starter shades from SeneGence International are Moca Java, Mulberry, Candied Cocoa Shimmer, or Smoked Topaz. They are easy to blend and can provide the perfect shading for this. In addition, most of these colors can double as other products like to fill in your brows, eyeliner, blush, or even contouring.

Start in the outer corner and blend

To get started you will want a fluffy brush and your shadow color. It is best when you are starting out, and not sure how much pigment to apply, that you do not apply the wand directly to your eyelid. Apply the color to the back of your hand, a palette, or take your fluffy brush and pick it up directly from the wand.

Start in the outer corner of your eye, this is where you will want the boldest color, and blend into your crease. Use a patting motion if you want the color to be a bolder/deeper shade and use a windshield wiper motion if you want it to blend out a bit more and be more sheer. Focus the darker color toward the outer corner of your eye, slightly deeper in the crease, and then blend down onto the eyelid for a lighter shade. If you learn better through video see the attached video I did showing exactly how to achieve this look.
