Removing Your Makeup

Not a Step to Skip

Removing your makeup doesn’t have to be a daunting task, but it surely is a task that cannot be skipped! Just washing your face will not suffice as it is not formulated to fully remove the makeup. There are many different products on the market you can use to remove your makeup before cleansing your skin, but my preferred method is to use Fooops! Liquid Remover, a Microfiber Cloth, and then 3-in-1 Cleanser.

Some might say, “Why so many steps?” Well, when I use the Fooops! Liquid Remover it breaks down all the makeup on my face so that it is able to be easily removed. By following it with a microfiber cloth, I’m able to make sure every last drop of my makeup has been removed on my neck, hairline, by my ears, corners of my eyes, etc.. Talk about helping out with any acne issues! Then I cleanse for all the cleansing benefits. 😜 Here are some different types of products you can use to fully remove your makeup before cleansing your skin.

Your Options

Makeup Removing Wipes

These are great to help remove your makeup all around your face and on your neck. Anyone else guilty of leaving makeup on their neck and not fully removing it all? However, many people use the makeup remover wipe and then consider that cleansing their skin. You still have to wash your face to remove any residue! The plus with using Fooops! Makeup Remover Wipes is it doesn’t leave behind any residue and it has SenePlex Complex+ for added skincare, but even then you want to come behind it with a cleanser.

Liquid Remover

Fooops! Liquid Makeup remover is seriously my favorite product to use. I pour a dime size amount into the palm of my hand, rub it around, and then apply to my face. It easily breaks down any facial makeup and waterproof mascara! I still follow with the microfiber cloth, hello acneic skin, but it makes the makeup come off with a simple wipe.

Cream Makeup Removers

Items like our Shea Butter Body Cream, or similar items on the market, can be great for added moisture to your skin while helping to break down makeup. While this is not my preferred method of removing makeup I know several love using this because it make their skin feel buttery soft! Plus, it doesn’t allow you to skip the step of cleansing your skin once you applied it.🤣

Towel Makeup Remover Cloths

These are great for the environment and super handy to have! I have linked the ones I personally own above (*affiliated) if you want to check them out. However, I find these can be a bit rough on your eyes and skin if you haven’t previously applied something to help break down your makeup, at least with our long-lasting color technology makeup. The trick is light, circular motions when the towel is damp with warm water. Again, these are awesome to use in conjunction with other makeup remover products.

So tell me, have you been removing your makeup before cleansing?
