Soft & Sculpted: The Everyday Neutral Makeup Look You Need
Todays look of the day was inspired by one of our newest limited-edition eyeshadows, Cool Linen ShadowSense. It has been such a fun shade to play with even though it is a simple! This eye shadow color is a cool, sandy taupe with a matte finish is the perfect base for my skin tone, blending seamlessly and pairing beautifully with so many colors.
At first, I thought I’d just use Cool Linen as a base or transition shade, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved it when paired with Blissful ShadowSense, a rich, matte brown that’s perfect for creating soft depth and definition. The Cool Linen is a fantastic texture, blends smoothly, and covers well.
For today’s look, I used Blissful not just on my eyes but also as a subtle bronzing contour (or “brontour,” if you will!). I lightly applied it around my hairline, cheekbones, and jawline to add warmth and dimension to my face. Then, I blended it into the outer corner of my eylid and crease of my eyes before tapping a little Cool Linen on top, and wow, the way these shades melted together was chef’s kiss! I have a feeling I’m going to love Cool Linen with all the different brown tones as a quick, every day look.
To complete the look, I reached for an old favorite: Cocoa LipSense. Does anyone remember when I used to grab this one all the time to layer with to add a touch more brown and depth of color to pretty much any lip combo?😂 I honestly forgot how much I love this shade! I topped it with Satin Matte Gloss, and the result was a perfect, neutral everyday glam - polished, effortless, and totally wearable.
This look is one I’ll definitely have on repeat! It’s simple, classy, and versatile, you can keep it soft for daytime or build up the depth for a more dramatic feel. And the best part? It was so quick and easy to do because these colors blend like a dream.
Pro Tip: How to “Brontour” with ShadowSense
Using ShadowSense for bronzing or contouring is super easy and a great way to make applying your makeup even faster, but since it sets faster than traditional cream bronzers, here’s how to get the best blend:
✔ Work in sections: Don’t apply it all over at once. Do cheeks, then forehead, etc.
✔ Use a blending palette or the back of your hand to blot your makeup brush in before applying so your product is evenly disbursed on your brush.
Have you tried using ShadowSense for contouring before? Let me know if you give this look a try—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
