Essential Base Face Makeup
Are you looking to jazz up your makeup bag or perhaps change it completely over to SeneGence products, but are not sure where to start? Then this blog post is for you! There are a couple decisions you will need to make, but overall I can help select the four items that are best for your personal makeup preferences. Below are the four types of products I use daily to start off any makeup look and build from there.
Foundation or CCTM
The first step to your every day makeup look is choosing either a foundation or one of our color correcting tinted moisturizers (CCTM). You cannot really go wrong with either of these products, but it is important to note the differences between them.
Let’s start with Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer. This product has a sheer-to-medium coverage and pigments in it to help even out skin tone from redness, discoloration, or hyperpigmentation. This product has more moisture and less color than foundation and is great for a quick pulled together look without being over the top.
Our foundation is more of a medium-to-full coverage product. Our foundation, while it has SenePlex Complex+ in it, has less moisture than CCTM. Plus, it is oil-free and water-resistant.
No matter which product you pick you will have multiple benefits for your skin as both products are non-comedogenic, light on your skin, have skincare (SenePlex Complex+) in them, include a mechanical shield for sun protection, and are suitable for all skin types. Or choose both and layer them for the color correction benefits, but the coverage of the foundation. It will still feel light on your skin, but have a full coverage appearance on your skin.
ShadowSense Color
The next item you will want to select for your makeup bag is a ShadowSense color. When selecting your shadow shade it is important to think of the versatility of the color and how it can be used around your face. You will want a color that can fill multiple purposes, I have listed the best options for this below, such as eyeshadow, brow fill, eyeliner, blush, contouring or bronzing, and lip color. Because our shadows are versatile and can be used for multiple purposes it makes it the perfect addition to your bag.
Top ShadowSense colors for a one shadow eye look are Candied Cocoa Shimmer, Candlelight, Desert Rose, Garnet, Moca Java, Mulberry, Pink Posey, Rustic Brown, or Smoked Topaz. Of course there are always limited edition colors that will work for this as well.
Mascara
Now for Mascara! Who doesn’t want flawless lashes to make your eyes look awake and bring the drama? I opt for our LashSense VolumeIntense Mascara in Black Waterproof, but if waterproof isn’t your jam we have non-waterproof as well. Also, our mascara has ingredients to assist with new lash growth by over 46% in up to 8 weeks.😱
Gloss or Lip Balm
Lastly, you want to have a product for your lips to bring additional color back to your face. Our tinted lip balms and glosses are perfect for this! My personal preference is Limited Edition Primrose Gloss, however, our permanent line gloss Madeline is perfect for daily use as well. Each gloss is formulated with Shea Butter and Vitamin E to keep your lips hydrated and protected. Each lip balm is formulated with Coconut Oil to provide nourishing moisture to improve dry, cracked skin and cocoa and shea butter to soften the skin and protect it from environmental influences!
