Everyday Easy Makeup Look Breakdown
Burgundy Plum HydraMatte LipSense
Once you have on your base face products, like foundation/tinted moisturizer and brows, I started with lips. For your lips, apply Burgundy Plum HydraMatte, a gorgeous six-hour-wear lip color that keeps your lips moisturized while giving a beautiful matte finish. I love how you can layer it for a bold pop of color or apply lightly for a more sheer look. Plus, it’s a multitasker! I like using it as a blush for a subtle flush, and I’ll even show you how it works as an eyeshadow later in the clown look.
Cocoa Glowify EyeShadow Stick
Next up, the Cocoa Glowify Eye Shadow Stick, the ultimate versatile eyeshadow stick. It’s flattering on all skin tones, easy to apply, and can be built up for a deeper look or kept light for a softer effect. Some of my clients even use it under their lips for a plumper appearance (a fun trick for a fuller pout!). I also love this one on my cheeks for blush. It blends so easily and you don’t need makeup brushes with it.
White EyeSense Eyeliner Pencil
To open up your eyes, grab the White Eyeliner Pencil. It’s like the magic wand of eye makeup. Perfect for lining your waterline to look more awake or for highlighting the inner corners of your eyes. I have an entire blog post dedicated to this pencil because of its endless uses! You’ll definitely want this for your Halloween look, too.
Onyx ShadowSense
Last but not least, Onyx ShadowSense. It’s an absolute staple for a smoky eyeliner or a dramatic shadow look. You can even use it to fill in your brows if you like a bold, defined brow. Onyx is great for adding depth to any look, whether you want to smudge it out or keep it sleek.
The Clown Halloween Look
Now, let’s have some fun! Transitioning into the clown makeup is super easy with these same products. You’ll just be deepening shades and adding a few playful touches.
Step 1: Define the Triangles
Start by using the Onyx ShadowSense to create your clown triangles above your brows. I like to place dots where the peaks of my triangles will be, then draw swooping lines downward with a thin makeup brush. Once the outline is done, use a denser brush to fill in the triangles. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect, you have a bit of time to play with ShadowSense before it sets, so you can easily adjust any lines with a Q-tip or clean brush.
Step 2: Eyeshadow Magic
Add more drama to your eyes by layering more Cocoa Glowify Stick on your lids to deepen the shade on your crease and eyelid. Then apply a dot of the Burgundy Plum to the outer corners of your eyes and blend it in with the Cocoa Glowify for a sultry, fall-inspired look. Honestly, I’d wear this eye combo even when it’s not Halloween!
Step 3: Creepy Clown Lips
For the lips, I used the Onyx ShadowSense to extend my lip line slightly, giving that classic clown swoop. I recommend starting from the top lip and curving upward—it creates a better flow than coming from the bottom. If you want to skip this step, you can, but it definitely adds to the spooky clown effect.
Step 4: Rosy Clown Cheeks
Apply a little more of the Burgundy Plum HydraMatte to your cheeks for a rosy, clown-like flush.
Step 5: Brighten the Look
Then, brighten things up by using the White Eyeliner Pencil - dab it on the inner corners of your eyes, down the bridge of your nose, and on your Cupid’s bow to highlight those areas. Blend it out with your fingers for a soft, seamless glow.
And that’s it! You’ve now transformed your everyday makeup into a fun, festive Halloween look with just a few simple tweaks.
