Mauve LipSense and Soft Pink Eyeshadow Combo for an Everyday Coquette Look

This past weekend, I went out with a few girlfriends to play bingo, and the makeup look I wore ended up being one of my new favorites. It felt soft, feminine, and fresh, perfect for everyday wear, but still totally on-trend with the coquette makeup aesthetic that’s still going strong.

I loved the combo so much that I recreated it the next day just to make sure I could capture it in photos. It’s an effortless blend of mauve, pink, and shimmer, and I’ll definitely be wearing this look on repeat.

Below, I’m breaking down exactly what I used and how I applied each product so you can recreate this look yourself. Whether you’re going for everyday glam or a soft romantic vibe, this look is wearable, customizable, and perfect for any season.

Custom Mauve LipSense Combo: How I Layered It

Woman wearing a LipSense lip color combination of Blush, Plum, Blush LipSense topped with glossy gloss.

I was in the mood for a mauvey lip, something with soft purple-pink undertones. Since there aren’t many true mauve options currently in the line, I created my own by layering LipSense shades and it was pure perfection if I do say so myself!

Here’s the exact LipSense layering combo:

  • First layer: Blush

  • Second layer: Plum

  • Third layer: Blush

  • Topped with Glossy Gloss to lock it in and add shine

This layering created a soft mauve with the perfect balance of pink and depth. What surprised me most was how closely it resembles Camellia LipSense. If you’ve loved Camellia in the past, this combination will give you a nearly identical shade.

Layering Tip: If you are using a bolder lip color in your layer combination think about the order you are applying it. In this lip combo, if I were to put Plum as my third layer it would have given the lipstick shade a much bolder, deeper shade more similar to Plum. In this instance, I wanted to have some of the Plum shade, but I didn’t want it to overpower the look so I sandwhiched it between Blush LipSense a more sheer, lighter pink. Creating your own color combos can be so fun with LipSense so don’t let layering intimidate you!

Bonus Tip: Let each layer dry completely before applying the next for even application and long-lasting results.

Eyeshadow Breakdown: Soft Pink with a Touch of Glow

Women wearing pink eye shadow colors - Ballet Slipper, Desert Rose, Pink Opal Shimmer ShadowSense - for a soft feminine makeup look.

For the eyes, I wanted a look that was airy, light, and cohesive with the lips. I centered everything around Ballet Slipper ShadowSense, a returning shade that’s exactly what the name suggests, soft, pastel pink with a delicate satin finish.

Here’s how I built the look:

  • Applied Ballet Slipper all over the eyelid as a base shade

  • Blended Desert Rose into the outer corner and crease for added depth

  • Smudged Desert Rose along the lower lash line for definition

  • Tapped Pink Opal Shimmer on the the lid for a soft, luminous glow

This combination created a multidimensional pink eye look that was still subtle enough for daytime wear. Pink Opal Shimmer adds just enough light reflection without looking glittery or overdone.

Eyeshadow Tip: If you have hooded or smaller eyes, keep shimmer focused on the center of the lid to create a more open, rounded appearance.

Blush and Highlight Using Multiuse Products

To tie the look together, I used the same ShadowSense shades on my face for blush and highlighter. This is a great trick for creating a cohesive makeup look without using a ton of products.

  • Blush: Desert Rose applied to the apples of the cheeks and blended upward

  • Highlight: Pink Opal Shimmer lightly tapped on the tops of the cheekbones

Both products blended beautifully into the skin and gave just the right amount of color and glow.

Pro Tip: When using ShadowSense as blush or highlighter, apply in thin layers and blend immediately. The formula sets quickly, so working in sections will give you the best result. I find that applying the product to the back of my hand or a blending palette and then dipping my makeup brush into that gives the best color application without being overly concentrated in one spot.

When and Where to Wear This Look

This mauve and pink makeup combo is incredibly versatile. It works beautifully for everyday wear but is also polished enough for more elevated settings. Here are a few ideas (affiliate links to Amazon):

  • Paired with a soft pink dress for Sunday church

  • With a casual top for brunch, errands, or work

  • Dressed up with a bow in your hair for a more romantic, coquette-inspired aesthetic

  • With a sleek ponytail or low bun for a clean-girl vibe

This look is soft but impactful. It enhances your features without overwhelming them and works well across a wide range of skin tones.
